Value of Confidence

“Should I do it?”… The question we all ask ourselves at one point or another. Sometimes, it’s over matters that actually require thinking, but most of the time it deals with questions you already know the answer to. In these cases, only a slight lack of confidence is what’s stopping you from choosing the right course of action. Confidence is incredibly important in all aspects of life; dating, job, and even the day to day encounters with complete strangers.

When on the dating scene, confidence is one of the most important traits a person can have. Not too much confidence, because that would make a person seem cocky and filled with false assurances. But just enough confidence, to where they are sure of their actions, but don’t try to take it too far. If you’re confident in yourself, you’ll not be afraid to take her hand, or kiss her, if you feel the time is right. If you’re not confident, or at least courageous enough, you’ll beat yourself up afterward for not taking the opportunity.

Confidence in your ability to do your job is also important. If you feel like you can’t live up to the expecations placed on you, either you really aren’t qualified for the job, or you just need to believe in yourself more. You can do anything you put your mind to, and there’s no reason why that shouldn’t apply to doing your job to the best of your ability. You have all the skills required; all you need is a bit of confidence in yourself, and you can show everyone just how good you are.

In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, we will encounter people. Most of the time, we won’t know who these people are, and yet we’ll need to talk, and interact with them. If you have little to no confidence, do you really think you’ll get what you need, or make a good impression? People respond well to someone that knows what they want, and if you are confident, they will get a good impression of you. Once again, confidence is key in dealing with a particular aspect of life.

So stop. Stop second guessing yourself, stop hesitating. Don’t be afraid to make the move, take the plunge, or to show what you’re made of. Believe in yourself, and agree with the people that already believe in you. Be confident, for there is no reason why you shouldn’t be. Don’t make excuses for why you can’t do things, as avoiding everything takes all the fun out of life. Take the chance; don’t live with the regret of missing out.
