You don’t have to stick to just three meals a day. You can allow yourself to have snacks throughout the the day. This way you don’t feel deprived waiting for your next meal.

It is possible for people to exercise and lose weight without causing themselves pain. Any physical activity that you do is exercise. Find activities you enjoy doing and participate in them throughout the week.

Meditation/prayer is a great way of losing weight. It deepens spiritual connection, lowers stress, and increases self-awareness. You can pray or meditate pretty much anywhere at anytime and you never have to pay to do it. You should be in a quiet, safe environment.

When feeling stressed, it is probably best to avoid eating while it does help temporarily, when you’re done eating, the problem will still continue to be there and you will have all those extra calories added to it.

Writing down what you eat is a great way of keeping yourself accountable. It’s also a good idea to write down your feelings and activities.

Aromatherapy is a great way of relieving stress and keeping people balanced. Simply smelling Peppermint Oil can lift up your emotions and also tends to suppress appetite.

Just thinking about the long – term effects when feeling tempted can do wonders. It helps you to refocus back on your goals.

Finding support groups or having friends/family support you is a big benefit in trying to lose weight. Having them give you compliments, encouragement, and continual support is very important when you are striving to lose weight.

Setting goals is also very important. When setting a weight – loss goal, it is important to not make the mistake of losing too much weight too fast. Set sensible goals. One to two pounds a week is a great goal for losing weight. If you try to do any more than that you are setting yourself up to fail.

Weight and height charts are also helpful, but everyone is different. The weight – loss plan you decide to follow and your goal should depend upon your health and the amount you are needing to lose.

Making a chart of how much you are losing is a great way to keep track and encourage/motivate you to stay on track.
