Sex Orgasm Head Ache Migraine

Not many people can say that they honestly need a reason to search for the sexual satisfaction known as the orgasm. However, many people can say that they honestly need a cure for migraines or headaches. Pills and medications are expensive, detrimental the liver with regular use, and frankly, don’t always work. Studies now show that your headache relief may be in the free and all natural cure of sexual release.

During an orgasm, the body releases both serotonin and endorphins. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter associated with mood, sexual desire, and even pain perception. [1] Endorphins are an opiate like chemical, which are proven to increase the body’s threshold to pain. [2] Basically, the body’s physical reaction to an orgasm is a painkiller, an instant, free, and safe cure for a migraine or headache.

However, an orgasm is not a cure for just everyone, and not for just all migraines or headaches. You see an orgasm will also cause blood pressure to increase, and dilate blood vessels. In some headaches, this can worsen the effects, and in some patients, orgasm has actually been known to cause migraines not cure them.

Luckily, of the three types of headaches caused by an orgasm, explosive, positional and tension headaches, two are the sole effect of sexual intercourse, not necessarily the orgasm itself. A positional headache is caused by an awkward positioning of the spine and/or neck, and a stress headache is common in those prone to tension headaches caused by the strain of the base of the neck and back during intercourse. The only head ache caused by orgasm itself is the explosive headache, which according to Randolph Evans, professor of neurology at Baylor College of Medicine only occurs in %1 of men. [3]

Therefore, as blunt as it sounds, self-satisfaction is the best cure for headaches or migraines that costs nothing and is entirely safe. Sex is a close second if your headaches or migraines are not of the three above-mentioned varieties. How do you know if this fun cure works for you? Give it a try, what could it hurt?

As a side note, this article is not intended to recommend anyone have sex solely to cure his or her headaches and/or migraines but to educate as to the pain relieving effects of the orgasm. If you choose to have sexual intercourse rather than self masturbation as a home remedy please remember to use protection and discretion and keep this method and yourself safe.
