Motivational Tips for Losing Weight

How many times in our life have we tried and yet fail over and over again? It can get crazy. It can make us quit. Clearly, our sense of fulfillment can be a source of happiness – one that we can say, a never ending quest. One way or another, our reason for living can evolve through our willingness to accomplish something. The big question now is, how many mistakes have we used in order to achieve real success? Anything can be a situation of a trial and error and I think the important thing is that we will always try.

Sometimes, the most common mistake that we all make is when we decide for the easy way out. In our actions, we tend to forget about the fundamentals. In order to achieve something, one has to have a healthy soul, mind and body.

Therefore, in this awareness, the first step to losing weight is to have a healthy soul.

A healthy soul, knows how to have faith. We are who we believe we are and if we have faith that we can be someone better, then we can be better. A person with a healthy soul knows how to find hope in his lowest times and shall know how to encourage oneself when no one else would.

You have to first start believing that you have the power to become the person you want to be. Nourish your soul and pray for strength. Track your progress and take every improvement as a blessing. Count it. Surround yourself with positive thinking people. Be positive. If it may help, you can create a vision board. It can be a tool to help find direction on how we wanted things to turn out for us. It can also be a good way to remind us every day, visually.

The second step is to have a healthy mind.

A healthy mind can build confidence, having been knowledgeable enough to understand the purpose. A person will have the visibility for the outcome and therefore can find a worthwhile and rewarding experience to look forward to.

You have to take time to learn as much. There are so many natural ways to lose weight. One can choose a healthy diet, go for various types of exercises or one can simply start by eliminating bad habits. To learn more about the options is a good progress.

The last step is to maintain a healthy body.

This is where all the execution has to happen. Without a physically able body, everything will deteriorate. Pursue a goal of consistently maintaining a healthy body. Have in mind that life is short and we don’t need to make it shorter. As Arnold H. Glasgow once said, “Your body is the baggage you must carry through life. The more excess baggage, the shorter the trip.”

If you could remember earlier, our vision board is not only about losing weight, it talks about life in general. To put it bluntly, we should know by now that when we are in our best state, we are also more capable of achieving more. Without a healthy body, our soul and our mind will not work effectively. The way to attain something in this life is to have a perfect balance.

To get more motivated in losing weight, you have to clearly understand first the three vital things in life that we need to maintain:

– A healthy soul,

– A healthy mind and,

– A healthy body.

We also have to keep in mind that we can always expect failure, but it is essential that when we quit, we ensure that we learn from it and in another way we will always try.

I have tried a lot of ways to lose weight. I enrolled in a martial arts class. I run. I jog. I walk home. I joined marathons and even had dance class. I also do yoga and Pilates when there’s an opportunity. I use jumping rope. I went swimming. I manage my food and have attempted to become a vegetarian. I had a gym membership, and was able to spend a great amount of time in the treadmill and the steam room. I hired a personal trainer. I climb mountains. I did morning and night crunches, made it a habit for a year.

I can’t perfectly say that I am doing well at 52 kilos with a height of 5’1”. There are days when I would feel sluggish. I forgive myself. I realized that I’m the type of person who can get bored easily. So, I have to keep re-assessing myself to be reminded of what it is exactly that I want to do with my life. It will always come to my awareness that in order to fulfill all this I have to be in good shape. So, in my free time, I make sure that I try to do everything in random especially when the boredom starts to get in the way again. I break the routine. I go to different places and I try different techniques.

What motivates me? I never want to stop my adventure. I believe that life can be a wonderful journey if you choose to live it.
