In order to increase your fiber content you should eat bran cereal in the morning with soy milk. During menopause sweating is not uncommon and dehydration can result, therefore it is recommended if you increase your fluid content.
There are also several foods you should remove from your diet to help reduce hot flashes. Caffeine, alcohol, spicy foods and too much sugar are the biggest culprits in aggravating hot flashes. If you wish to drink alcohol make sure you drink extra water to avoid dehydration. If you are a tea or coffee lover try using the decaffeinated varieties to help cut down on caffeine intake. Spicy foods lovers should reduce their intake of such foods, while those with a sweet tooth need to limit their intake of sugar rich foods.
