Eat for Perfect Health

We all want better health or even perfect health. Our modern diet makes this difficult without some changes and going back to a more natural way of eating, like our ancestors before us. If we switch to a more natural diet we stand the best chance of changing our health for the better and even achieving perfect health.

Vegetables

Consuming a diet rich in vegetables is recommended for improving your health. Not only do vegetables contain high levels of vitamins and minerals they provide fiber which can help to protect the bowels and provide regularity. All vegetables are very beneficial to the human body and can make a dramatic improvement in a person’s health if they are consumed on a regular basis along with other sensible eating. You should consume your vegetables fresh but frozen is fine as well. If you buy canned vegetables be sure to wash them off first to remove any salt before consuming them. Some great vegetable choices include carrots, potatoes, onions squash, broccoli, tomatoes, cauliflower, and dark leafy greens. If you make vegetables a large portion of your daily meals your improving your body towards perfect health.

Fruit

Many people do not get enough fruit in their diet besides the odd banana, apple, or glass of fruit juice. Fruit is one of the healthiest foods you can eat and provides many important vitamins and minerals for the body. Fruit also contains water and fiber for proper bowel functioning. Fruit also contains natural sugar which can give you energy without the crash of regular sugar and caffeine. Try fruit with cereal smoothies or a fruit salad. Take fruit with you to work to have as a snack.

Water

Consuming too many caffeinated beverages or alcohol is not good for your health and won’t bring you to perfect health. Your main beverage throughout the day should be plain water. When you consume enough water your body is keep hydrated and your bowels will even function better. Try to drink several glasses of plain water each day and more when it is hot out.

Lean Meats and Fish

Try to eat more fish in your diet and if you do eat meat make sure it is lean meat such as chicken breast, lean turkey or pork and be sure to get plenty of vegetables with it when you do consume it. Eating more fish provides you with healthy Omega-3 fats which can help to protect your heart.

Whole-Grains

Ditch the white refined flour products you are used to eating and go for whole-grain products. Dark breads, brown rice, oatmeal, bran and other similar products provide high levels of fiber as well as other nutrients that the body needs to stay healthy. Refined white flour products have most of the nutrition stripped away leaving the food less nutritious.

Conclusion

Eating for perfect health means switching over to a more natural diet. Eliminate the sugars, fat, and other substances found in refined products and go with natural fruits, vegetables, water, lean meats, fish and whole-grain products. The more natural your diet is the better your health will be long-term and be sure to get some exercise too.
