Cialis Cialis the Weekend Drug Erectile Dysfunction Sexual Perfomance Sex Vision changes

Cialis or tadalafil first came onto the mainstream medication market in February of 2003 for the treatment of erectile dysfunction for men. Cialis is currently only available by prescription and has become a popular drug of choice for men to gain an erection and is widely known as “The weekend drug” because the drug can last for up to 36 hours in a man’s body.

Cialis works by relaxing the muscles and increasing the blood flow to certain parts of a man’s body. For a man with impotence problems then this drug can help a man gain an erection to enjoy sexual activity. Cialis works by helping the blood flow into the penis during sexual stimulation.

Cialis is available by prescription only and is administered in varying strengths of 2.5, 5 10 or 20 milligrams. Many times a doctor will start a man off with the lowest dosage to see if it helps. A man would take Cialis before sexual activity to improve his erectile dysfunction and aid in his sexual performance. For a man who experiences an erection of more than four hours he would need to call his doctor.

Cialis should not be taken when a man is drinking an excessive amount of alcohol due to alcohol making the effects of Cialis further enhanced. When drinking too much alcohol with Cialis then a man can experience a sudden decrease in blood pressure and pass out, have a stroke or even a heart attack. In rare instances taking Cialis can cause sudden decrease or loss of hearing or vision. A man can also experience a sudden ringing in his ears when he takes Cialis. It is wise to start with a smaller dose and see how that works before trying the larger dose.

Taking Cialis requires that a man is healthy so that he does not increase his chances of a stroke or heart attack due to the sudden increase of blood flow in his body. Men with diabetes, and heart problems are advised not to use Cialis.

When taking Cialis it is also advisable to wait a day before taking thus drug once again. Cialis has the potential for lasting in a man’s body for 36 hours, and that is why it is now called “the weekend drug”.

While taking Cialis a man is also advised not to take nitrates for chest pain or heart problems. Cialis should also not be taken with cimetidine, erythromycin, and HIV medicines such as amprenavir due to adverse reactions. Checking with your doctor is advisable before taking Cialis with any prescription drugs.

During sexual activity if you experience any of the following symptoms it is a good idea or call a doctor or go to the nearest emergency room:

Dizziness

Nausea

Chest Pain

Difficulty Breathing

Irregular heartbeat

Convulsions
